Online EMDR Consultation Explained

What is EMDR Consultation?

EMDR consultation provides specialized guidance for therapists after basic EMDR training, helping refine skills through case reviews and feedback from EMDRIA-approved consultants. We ensure adherence to ethical standards and clinical best practices while progressing toward certification. This support bridges training gaps, enhancing therapy delivery for trauma and complex cases.

Who can benefit from EMDR Consultation

Therapists pursuing EMDRIA certification or seeking to strengthen their practice, especially those handling trauma, dissociation chronic pain, or stuck processing, gain the most value. Clinicians find it essential for building confidence, troubleshooting real cases, and meeting the 20-hour consultation requirement through individual or group sessions. It accelerates professional growth and improves client outcomes.

What happens in a typical online EMDR consultation

In a standard 50-60 minute online session, you present brief case notes on specific challenges like desensitization blocks or adaptations, receiving compassionate, targeted feedback. The EMDRIA-approved consultant guides discussions to foster ethical practice and validity, available in individual or group formats. This process directly applies to your caseload, building practical expertise.

Why Choose Online EMDR Consultation?

Online delivery offers flexible access for busy practitioners, eliminating travel while logging hours seamlessly toward certification via approved templates and signed verifications. It combines convenience with high-quality, personalized support, suiting state-specific licensing while boosting practise efficiency.
